2019-2020

For my diploma, I started with the carrion.

The flesh is dead, but a transformation process begins. The concept of the carrion is full of paradoxes. The body is soft but it is getting hard, animal or human, source of life but dead. This is a state of limit, there are no boundaries any more.

I tried to create a fragmented body, then I recomposed it, in a different way. Each piece is different, and each piece shows a different state of the transformation. My goal was to create a temporality, a metamorphose movement into one sculpture. Then there are two more sculptures, the transformation is still in process. The body is beacoming something else. In one hand, this process is moving from the recognisable to the unrecognisable.

The goal was to reconsider the death but, also our position in our world : with these sculptures, hybrid, half human, half animal, I tried to reconsider our so-called domination.
